By acting as a judge for the 10th annual Indie Music Awards, Gavin Rossdale helped indie performers advance their careers. Chris Martin presented him with the International Achievement in Songwriting trophy at the 2013 Ivor Novello Awards.
Linkin Park conducted a special memorial concert on October 27, 2017, in honor of lead singer Chester Bennington, during which Rossdale and the group performed the song “Leave Out All the Rest.”
The half-demon Balthazar was played by Rossdale in the 2005 film Constantine, one of many in which he has acted. He has also appeared in these movies, in addition to Zoolander (2001), Mayor of the Sunset Strip (2004), Little Black Book (2004), The Game of Their Lives (2005), How to Rob a Bank (2008), and The Bling Ring (2013).
He also had an appearance as Paul Davies, a rock musician who assumes the character of a vampire and whose music is connected to a series of exsanguination deaths, in the 2009 episode “The Performer” of the detective drama Criminal Minds. Rossdale was also present.
