Frank Fritz is an American TV actor best known for his roles in the television series “American Pickers” (2010), “The Best of American Pickers” (2017), and “American Dad!” (2005).

His prior involvement in American television reality shows has made him well-known. Following his termination from the American reality program American Pickers, Fritz recently gained notoriety. He had earlier spent more than a decade working for the program.

Recently, Frank was hospitalized after a stroke, his former co-star, Mike Wolfe.

Taking to Instagram, Wolfe shared the news with fans alongside an image of 56-year-old Fritz in better days. Wolfe revealed his former co-star is now under the watchful eye of medical professionals.

Is Frank Fritz Still In The Hospital? Stroke Recovery Update

“American Pickers” star Frank Fritz was hospitalized on July 22. His stroke had a significant impact on him up until that point. Due to his age and the fact that he lives alone, the 56-year-old urgently needs medical attention.

He was admitted to the hospital on July 14 due to a stroke. The Sun reports that Fritz’s stroke left him “sprawled out on the floor and unable to speak.” A disturbing 911 emergency call was made by a friend who had dropped by to see how he was doing.

Mike Wolfe, who acted alongside Fritz until 2021, posted about Fritz’s stroke on social media and pleaded for prayers from his followers.

Since then, neither Wolfe nor the 56-year-old family man has provided any updates on Fritz’s condition. However, a representative for Wolfe told People on Monday (July 25) that Fritz still has a long recovery ahead of him.

Following Fritz and Wolfe as they scoured the nation for antiques and collectibles, “American Pickers” made its History Channel debut in 2010.

In March 2020, Fritz’s final “American Pickers” episode was released. According to the History Channel, he officially left the program in July 2021.

Moreover, Fritz’s departure from the show was blamed on a rift with Mike Wolfe that coincided with the pandemic. After being fired from “American Pickers,” he informed The Sun in July that he would check into a rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse.

He also said he hoped to return to the series but that “the History Channel” had not given him a definitive answer.

How Is Frank Fritz Doing Today?

Frank’s most recent medical problem was a stroke that required hospitalization in July 2022.

For Fritz, this is a very serious development. But this is not his first major health problem. Frank has a long history of injuries and health problems that have kept him out of life for extended periods and caused him a great deal of pain.

The “American Pickers” star discussed Crohn’s disease with The Sun just a year ago. Since his early 20s, he has experienced this ongoing digestive system inflammation.

Frank also disclosed that he spent 77 days in rehab at The Abbey Center in Bettendorf, Iowa, in 2020. The “American Pickers” star was pulled over for a first DUI offense back in 2017.

In addition, Frank Fritz underwent spinal surgery as well. That was extremely serious, just like his other health issues. During surgery, two rods were placed in his spine, during which 185 stitches were made.
