Is Dre Mont Jones any good?

When the new league year begins on March 15, Dre’Mont Jones, a former third-round pick, will become an unrestricted free agent, posing a problem for the Denver Broncos with one of their defense’s key components.

Contract talks between Denver and Jones apparently began during the previous campaign, but they reportedly ceased toward the end.

The importance of keeping Jones around for the long term has been stressed by the Broncos, and to some extent, Jones has expressed a desire to stay in Denver.

Although there is a shared interest, at times it has been a little contentious.

This argument is based in part on rumors that Jones would be subject to the franchise tag by the Broncos if a long-term deal couldn’t be reached in time.
