Liese Dodd was found dead by her mother last Thursday at her daughter’s new home in Alton, Illinois.
According to court documents obtained by the St Louis Post-Dispatch, Ms. Dodd’s head was found in a garbage bin outside her residence.
Deundrea Holloway, 22, was arrested in connection with the crime.

Deundrea Holloway has now been jailed on a $2 million bond at the Alton Jail. The day Dodd’s body was discovered, Holloway was arrested by the adjacent Gillespie Police Department.
Deundrea Holloway was arrested and booked into the Macoupin County Jail on charges of theft, resisting arrest, and hindering identification.
The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office recognized him as the man wanted for Dodd’s horrific murder and charged him in her killing.
The victim, Dodd, was also beheaded, according to the inquiry. She was also expecting a child, with a due date in mid-July.
For the previous two years, Dodd and the Holloway had been dating on and off. Dodd had only recently relocated to Alton. Holloway is a Litchfield native.

Holloway beheaded Dodd and threw her body into a dumpster. Officers arrived at a home in Alton, Illinois, at about 1:00 p.m. on June 9, 2022, to find 22-year-old Liese Dodd dead.
Liese was due to give birth in mid-July, according to police, and her family was organizing a baby shower at the time.
Detectives began looking for Deundrea Holloway, a suspect, soon after Dodd’s body was discovered. Later that day, he was apprehended in Gillespie, roughly 45 minutes from Alton.
According to prosecutors, Holloway was charged with two charges of first-degree murder, two counts of deliberate killing of an unborn child, dismembering a human body, motor vehicle violations, and concealment of homicidal death.
Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Haine stated “We offer our sympathy to the family of Liese Dodd for the profound loss they are suffering.”

According to Madison County court documents and police, Deundrea Holloway has been charged with the murder of Liese A. Dodd, 22, and her unborn child.
Holloway was accused of decapitating a pregnant lady whose body was discovered by her mother last week.

Holloway and Dodd had been dating on and off for almost two years, and Dodd had lately moved into the house on Bolivar Street.
