Besides Courtenay’s acting and production, many people know her as a socialite and Lindsay Lohan’s ex-girlfriend. At present, the two remain good pals.

Lindsay is making a buzz on the internet as she announced her engagement with Bader S Shammas. On 28 November 2021, she posted some photos of them cuddling together on Instagram. She also called Bader her love, life, family, and future. With the engagement, the marriage doesn’t seem far away.

There is a relation between Courtenay Semel and Casey Johnson, the daughter of Woody Johnson. They are former lovers.

On 4 January 2010, Casey, the former socialite and heiress of the Johnson & Johnson empire, died in sleep due to diabetes.

After losing financial support from her family and going out of control, Courtenay entered rehab in 2009. A year later, her ex-girlfriend died at the age of 30.

A socialite and the daughter of the former Yahoo CEO Terry Semel, she was once an alcoholic and a drug addict. She went to the rehabilitation center eight times. Casey’s death led her to think about her addiction which ultimately made her get rid of it.

In a 2014 interview, she said that she was self-harming and depressed, and as she went out in Holywood, that became her addiction. She wasn’t happy with her life, leading her to use drugs and alcohol.

Courtenay was huge on the L.A. club scene back in 2008. Once called herself the Don Juan of the lesbian world, she then headlined the news with some sensational topics. She set her girlfriend’s hair on fire, assaulted a bouncer, dated Tila Tequila, and had a relationship with Lindsay Logan.

But, she got a hold of herself after Casey’s death. She took four years out of the spotlight, got a more productive approach to life, and even obtained a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University-Los Angeles in 2012.
