Chuu of LOONA is apparently getting ready to part ways with her longtime management company Blockberry Creative and sign a new contract with BY4M Studio.
South Korean musicians Kim Han-bin, also known as B.I, and Chhu are planning to release their joint effort, “Lullaby,” as part of a special initiative by Dingo Music.
According to a report by The Kpop Herald, the song will go live on regional streaming services on June 27.
Is Chuu Leaving BBC and Loona?
Chuu is leaving Blockberry Creative and her future with the K-pop girl group LOONA is undetermined, according to the report from E-Daily.
The South Korean singer made her group appearance as a part of LOONA in August 2018 after making her debut as a participant of Blockberry Creative’s “Monthly Girl Project” in December 2017.
But as of this publication, neither Chuu nor Blockberry Creative has commented on the news.
Chuu’s former management company, Blockberry Creative, had revealed earlier in the month that Chuu would not be joining the stage with LOONA on their upcoming “LOONATHEWORLD” worldwide tour.
The vocalist had “planned activities,” according to the agency, which prevented her from joining the group, according to a statement posted on the group’s official fan café website.
Despite this, Chuu was nonetheless a part of LOONA’s eagerly anticipated return with the new mini-album “Flip That.”
Where Is Chuu Going After Blockberry Creative?
Chuu is allegedly in negotiations to sign a brand new agreement with BY4M Studio after splitting with her former management company, Blockberry Creative, per an article by South Korean media site E-Daily.
The primary focus of BY4M Studio is social media and online marketing. If the rumor is accurate, the company’s entry into the K-pop idol and entertainment markets will result from the signing of Chuu.
Before word of her rumored resignation from Blockberry Creative broke, South Korean news organization Wikitree claimed in an exclusive story in March 2022 that Chuu had sued her management firm to have her contract suspended.
The court has granted Chuu’s request in part. Blockberry Creative declined to respond when questioned about the case.
