Chris Harrison Racist Scandal
Chris Harrison cannot be labeled as racist just because he defended the action of Rachael, which was 3 years ago.
Also, Chris has apologized for supporting Rachael Krikconnel and decided to leave “The Bachelor,” which states he feels responsible for his words.
It all started from the interview with Rachel Lindsay, an American media personality.
Rachel Lindsay asked about Chris’s opinion on Rachael Krikconnel’s racist scandal, and he defended Krikconnel; hence, the scandal started.
What Did Chris Harrison Say To Rachel Lindsay?
Chris Harrison said to Lindsay, “I’ve seen some stuff online where people are just tearing this girl’s life apart and diving into her life. It’s unbelievably alarming to watch this. I saw a picture of Lindsay at a sorority party five years ago, and that’s it.”
Harrison also added, “And again, I’m not defending Rachael. I know that I don’t know; 50 million people did that in 2018. That was a type of party that a lot of people went to. We are not looking under the same lens.”
Soon after the interview, a petition Change.org was created to remove Harrison from The bachelor.
More than 43,000 people signed the petition.
Harrison and Lindsay both were criticized by Bachelor fans and writers on Twitter.
Harrison also apologized for his words during the interview through his Instagram.
A day later, Krikconnel also apologized for her behavior 3 years ago through her Instagram post.
She stated she was immature, and she didn’t realize how offensive and racist her actions were.
Kirkconnell also stated that her ignorance was racist, and her age and immaturity doesn’t excuse her behaviors.
Despite the apologies from both Harrison and Krikconnel didn’t stop the racist scandal and Harrison ended up leaving The Bachelor.
