For a person who represents the indigenous people for their rights, saying something racist is definitely a big deal. Hence, Carolyn is being widely criticized by people all over Canada.
Further, Bennett said that Jody is selfish and should not focus on the election which nobody wants.
However, Carolyn has apologized for her behaviour saying that she should have never used those words. Still, once spoken, words are difficult for the public to forget.
