Bo Dallas was born on the 25th of May 1990 in Brooksville, Florida, United States. His parents are Mike Rotunda, and Stephanie Rotunda, and his siblings are Bray Wyatt and Mika Rotunda.
He was born into a family of wrestlers. The Rotunda family is the third generation professional wrestler which includes his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, his father Mike Rotunda, and uncles Barry and Kendall Windham.
Bo Dallas is an alumnus of Hernando High School. He has a scholarship to study at the Webber International University, however, he decided to be a wrestler instead.

Bo Dallas married Sarah Bäckman in 2014 but ended their marriage in 2019. After his divorce, it was revealed in February 2021 that he was in a relationship with fellow wrestler Gionna Daddio, with the ring name Liv Morgan.
