Scout, Rivals, and 247Sports all rank Lambert as a 3-star recruit. Lambert was a safety, kick returner, and wide receiver in his junior season at Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas.
According to maxpreps.com, Lambert had 21 receptions for 287 yards, 11 total tackles, and 15 kickoff returns for 473 yards at 31.5 yards per return.
Scout ranked Lambert as the 14th best wide receiver in Texas, and he garnered nine offers from schools such as New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Army, Texas State, and UTSA.

Lambert, 22, was arrested at the Scottsdale City Jail on one charge of minor impairment with a blood-alcohol concentration of.08 percent or above. He was later freed as authorities awaited further investigation data, including test findings.
