Is Al Roker On Vacation Or Is He Sick – Where Is The Weathercaster Now? Cancer Update

AI Roker is an American weather presenter, journalist, television celebrity, and author. The reporter currently presents 3rd Hour Today on NBC and is the show’s weather anchor. His American Meteorological Society Television Seal #238 is inactive.

By reporting for 34 hours in 2014, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Roker broke the Guinness World Record. He received recognition for 40 years at NBC in the Today segment from December 14, 2018.

What Happened To Al Roker – Is He On Vacation Or Sick?

Al Roker left for his summertime travels, deciding to spend some time in Paris, where his daughter Leila resides.

In late April, AI went on vacation. With his wife Deborah Roberts and 19-year-old son Nick, he was spotted relaxing on a beach holiday in Puerto Rico.

The trip’s significance, though, rests in that it was their final adventure together before Nick left for college. In addition, the fact that their destination was one they have visited frequently in the past.

Deborah routinely posted pictures from their trip to social media, but Al kept a relatively low profile. On Thursday, Deborah shared additional family memories from the location.

In Roker’s missed episodes of the morning show, Dylan Dreyer has filled in for Al as he takes a well-earned rest.

The devoted parents are having difficulty accepting that their youngest child will soon be away at college, and Deborah frequently posts images of her son to express her shock.AI Roker Cancer & Health Update

Al Roker has been open and honest with his fans and following his quest for optimal health.

The NBC TV personality revealed his cancer diagnosis live on air in November 2020. He later described his surgery experience and, to his followers’ delight, made a successful recovery.

When he compared his jeans from before and after his substantial weight loss, he showed that his efforts with exercise and a nutritious diet had immensely paid off.

He got gastric bypass surgery in 2002 to shed weight, which he claimed he did after multiple failed diet attempts.

The New York Daily News claimed that eight months following the surgery, he had lost 100 pounds (45 kilograms) from his original weight of 320 pounds (150 kilograms). In the 2013 book Never Going Back: Winning the Weight Loss Battle For Good, Roker talked about his struggle with weight loss.

He had back surgery in 2005. In 2016, he underwent a second knee replacement procedure.

Roker required urgent carpal tunnel surgery in October 2018. He underwent hip replacement surgery in September 2019.

Where Is AI Roker Now?

While he’s away, Al Roker has been covered by none other than Joe Fryer, as the well-known TV personality has been providing some nice updates from his stay in the French city.

Joe is no stranger to Today, having regularly hosted Weekend Today, NBC Nightly News, and MSNBC. Regular hosts Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones were joined by Joe, a temporary replacement, and MSNBC host Jacob Soboroff.

Al isn’t the only celebrity who has missed Today; Hoda Kotb missed the last few days as well.

The loving father visits his daughter, who has been living in Paris for the past few years, as often as he can. Al and his wife Deborah Roberts share their younger son Nick and daughter Leila.
