In late 2010, the dance instructor went bankrupt, owing more than 400 000 dollars in taxes. In October 2015, Miller was charged with fraud related to her previous bankruptcy. She was accused of creating a secret bank account, which was used to hide the proceeds of certain master classes, television contracts and merchandise sales.
