‘Into the Badlands’ is a collection of genre-bending martial arts focused quite loosely on the traditional Journey to the West Chinese story. Into the Badlands reveals the tale of a great warrior and a young boy in a land ruled by feudal barons, who embark on a quest through a hostile land to achieve enlightenment.
“Into the Badlands” has been known for decades, where a hierarchical system has arisen and riches and influence have grown to be the greatest and most violent. This region came to be named the Badlands, and is split between seven opposing barons who, with the support of loyal forces known as Clippers, manage the tools required for everyday life and impose their rule. The common public may only think of the rank and comforts of the Clippers, and they are ready to risk their lives in loyalty to their Barons. Few Clippers ever survive to see their 30th birthday, but there is no ordinary Clipper for Sunshine (Daniel Wu). Sunny advanced rapidly through the ranks to become Quinn’s (Marton Csokas) Head Clipper and most reliable adviser, displaying deadly proficiency in martial arts.

Each of those assaults will lead Sunny to M.K. (The Knight of Aramis), a young boy who escaped a lethal attack. Sunny quickly learns that the teen is keeping a hidden secret and has a heavy reward on his back. As her fight against Quinn begins with The Widow, the destinies of the stoic killer and the impetuous adolescent become entangled. Everyone will discover his true intent in their creation as instructor and student; together, they will embark on an odyssey that may be the difference for all in the Badlands between confusion and enlightenment.
Sunny and M.K. are found in “Into the Badlands” season two. Separated and distributed to the wind, everyone incarcerated in unusual locations. Thus, though M.K. Sunny is ready to make his way back through the Badlands to reach his family or perish attempting, unable to harness his forces. Clipper and Colt are supported on their quest by enigmatic, new allies whose intentions may be anything but innocent. In the meantime, against the other Barons, The Widow proceeds to accumulate control, as a dark and enigmatic threat plans to exact vengeance on them all. Alliances have been struck, friendships have been betrayed, and by the end of the season, Sunny
