Career

Throughout her career as a movie producer, Naomi operated behind the camera with deep insight and astute creativity. She orchestrated the outcomes of an event in movies with knowledge of hindsight, like someone who had mastered the dark arts of clairvoyance.
In 1987, Naomi met Bob, six years after his first Emmy win, and delved into the craft of writing. She spent her days engrossed in the creative process of character and event development, ultimately becoming the renowned author of “Mr. Show: What Happened?” This book provided an insider’s guide to the 1995 comedy series “Mr. Show with Bob and David,” co-created by her husband, Bob, and David Cross.
Her first project in the line of movie production was “Melvin Goes to Dinner,” released in 2003 and directed by Bob Odenkirk. The film was a success, mainly because it was adapted from Michael Blieden’s stage play “Phyro Giants” and contained a complete cast of Stephanie Courtney, Matt Price, and Annabelle Gurtwich. The brilliance of Bob and Naomi merged skyrocketed the film’s popularity to an incredible height that brought home a couple of awards, including the Copper Wing Award in 2003.
Naomi would later produce “Derek and Simon” in 2007. Derek and Simon is a web-based series created by Bob Odenkirk, Simon Helberg, and Derek Walter. Besides being a movie producer, Naomi has managed her husband’s career. However, at first, it was not a welcome idea, as Odenkirk had told the Wall Street Journal that their professional life had stood at risk of eroding their marriage in the year 2020. Regardless of the brutal nature of the idea, the couple had found a way to make it work. Naomi had also worked closely in line with other big names in the industry, the likes of Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Derek Waters, and Jenna Fischer.
Her career path had embedded in her the necessary skills and knowledge to oversee her husband’s talent management company, Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, in Los Angeles, California.
