Ibrahim Abiriga was shot dead together with bodyguards in Kampala which shook the whole of Uganda. Reports say he was shot near Energo fuel station Kawanda while he approached his home.

The late Ibrahim Abiriga was buried on 8th June 2018 together with his brother Saidi Congo in Arua, Uganda. The burial ceremony was graced by top Uganda politicians including president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
