Ian Oliver is an American certified Broadcast meteorologist currently working at WFLA since joining the Storm Team 8 in May 2016. You can watch him on News Channel 8 on the weekends at 6 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM and during the week on News Channel 8 at 11 AM. Oliver grew up near the beach in Westport, MA as well as loves living there on the coast.
Growing up, he played sports, fishing, and skiing with my family in New England. Oliver worked at a bait and tackle shop through high school and college and on a salmon boat for a summer up in Kodiak, Alaska.
Oliver loved watching the local TV meteorologists in Boston and Providence track Nor’easters and Oliver always wanted to be one! His passion for weather sent him even farther north a pitching wedge from the Canadian border to the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
