I Hate Christmas Netflix Cast and Character Guide Ahead Of Its Release In Dec 7

I Hate Christmas Cast includes star actress Pilar Fogliati who plays Gianna. Pilar doesn’t really love Christmas because she is single.

The story in the upcoming Italian series is hilariously predictable but you must watch the entire series to dive down for humor. The series seems a hundred percent witty and full of Italian hand gestures. Well, if you are into the Mediterranean culture I Hate Christmas casts have not left the stone unturned.

The series is releasing on December 7 and the trailer is already making rounds on Social Media and Youtube channels. The trailer of the series starts with a bold statement from Pilar Fogliati, “Christmas doesn’t care about your happiness.” The basic plot of the movie is based on the life of a single character Gianna who becomes desperate to find a boyfriend before Christmas dinner. Her family member has already tagged her under a derogatory term, “spinster.”

Will she be able to come out for that perception? Other Christmas movies released this month are Xmas Hallmark, Fit For Christmas, Christmas on The Rocks, Merry Textmas, and more. Out of so many similar movies, I Hate Christmas might actually make you fall in love with Italian Christmas.

I Hate Christmas Netflix Cast

The major cast of I Hate Christmas Netflix are Pilar Fogliati, Andrea Di Stefano, Nicholas Maupas, and other supporting actors.

The series is a remake of the successful Norwegian series with an entirely different set of cast members.

Pilar Fogliati Plays Gianna

Pilar Fogliati plays the role of single Gianna who promises to bring her boyfriend to Christmas dinner in the Italian series I Hate Christmas. Now she has 24 days left to find herself a new boyfriend. The initial clips of the trailer suggest how much she loves her independence, but her family calls her a spinster.

Out of rage and humiliation, Gianna lies about having a boyfriend. She shares her concerns with her friends. In return receives sensational ideas to make a boyfriend in a short time.

Pilar Fogliati is a perfect actor to play witty and comic roles. She started performing in theater in her early 20s whereas in 2015 she portrayed Betta in the TV miniseries, Il Bosco at 23. In 2016, the real transition occurred in her film career with her participation in the Fausto Brizzi film Forever Young.

Subsequently, playing Rai drama Un Passo dal Cielo and performing in the Italian version of X factor in 2019, Fogliati has proved herself in every step. Before playing the lead role in the Netflix series I Hate Christmas, she won hearts with the fictional series Hearts in 2021.

Pilar was born on 28 December 1992 in Alessandria, Italy. She is proud of her Argentinian ancestry.

Andrea Di Stefano Plays Dante Crisanti

Andrea Di Stefano plays the role of Dante Crisanti as one of the men to meet Gianna. However, there are fewer clips of Dante and Gianna together. In the trailer, both are seen in a boat in the middle of the sea.

It is too early to predict if Gianna’s new boyfriend is Dante Crisanti in the Netflix series, I Hate Christmas. Andrea is an Italian actor and director born on 15 December 1972.

The 49 years old actor is known for his role as Priest in the Oscar-winning movie Life of Pi. He wrote and directed the movie Escobar: Paradise Lost launching Benicio del Tora and Josh Hutcherson.

Some of the projects Andrea Di Stefano is involved in are: In Guerra per Amore, The Informer, Cuore Sacro, and many more.

Nicolas Maupas Plays Davide

Nicholas Maupas plays the role of Davide in I Hate Christmas. He is also one of the persons Gianna meets on her surge to find a boyfriend. The two are seen sharing some intimate moments where Gianna gets to know Davide is just a High School student learning foreign languages.

In the series, Davide is too young for Gianna but in reality, he is 23 years old French-Italian actor. He was born in 1999 to an Italian mother and a French father. He started to movie career by acting and dubbing. Eventually, Maupas received the role of Filippo with Mare Fuori, Emilia Romagna, and in un professore.

Nicolas’s presence in the series I Hate Christmas will add value to his acting career.

What Is I Hate Christmas Netflix Remake Of?

Netflix series I Hate Christmas is the remake of the Norweigian series Hjem til Jul, which translates into Home of Christmas in English.

The plot of the Italian and Norweigian series is relatively same to the story of a girl trying to find a new boyfriend in 24 days. However, the characters in the series are different. In Hjem til Jul, Johanne plays the lead role. Whereas in I Hate Christmas, Gianna plays the lead role.

The plot of the series I Hate Christmas is pretty humorous. The Italian nurse is determined to find herself a boyfriend after she promises it to her family. Gianna meets different kinds of people from young to old but fails to find the right/normal man for herself.

Will she find the man of her choice? It is difficult to predict from the trailer clips. The trailer concludes when Gianna opens the door for a person she might be waiting for desperately. Watch the series on Netflix on December 7.
