Tang Lu faced his execution on July 23, 2022. He has been executed for murdering his ex-wife (Lamu) by setting her alight while she was streaming live on Douyin.

Lamu was a vlogger and a well-known social media personality. Her daily activities included short videos and live streams of her daily activities and the Sichuan countryside.
