The standard way to take an Android screenshot

Capturing a screenshot usually involves simultaneously pressing two buttons on your Android device; normally the volume down and power buttons. Alternatively, you can press and hold the power button for a few seconds; select Screenshot from the few options that appear.

In order to take screenshot without the power button, press the “Share” icon on the bottom panel of the screen. You will be able to see the screenshot animation, along with a bunch of sharing options directly under the screenshot.

For instance, Samsung devices come with a unique palm swipe gesture. In this, you need to swipe your palm on the phone either from left to right or right to left to take a screenshot. However, to use it you need to enable it in the settings. Go to device Settings > Motions and gestures > Enable Palm Swipe.

To take the screenshot, press the Power key (Side key) and Volume down key simultaneously.

Uninstall a recently installed app. If you recently installed an app that might be a problem, such as something work-related or designed to control or restrict your phone, uninstall it and see if you’re able to take screenshots. Disable the Chrome Incognito Mode before you can take a screenshot.

So to be able to use this feature, swipe your hand edge from right to left or left to right and your hand edge must be touching the screen. That’s it. Now your smartphone will capture the screenshot without any issues and you’ll hear the camera click sound.
