Ypsilanti (/ˌɪpsɪˈlænti/ IP-sil-AN-tee, sometimes mispronounced /ˌjɪp-/ YIP-), commonly shortened to Ypsi, is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan, perhaps best known as the home of Eastern Michigan University.
