How do you clean a distillate syringe?
I pour some isopropyl alcohol in a beaker. Once the glass bits are hot enough that that distillate starts to flow, I grab tongs and put it together then pull alcohols in and out of the syringe til it slides freely. I pull it apart a last time and back on the hot plate to evaporate the alcohol.
How do you liquify distillate?
You need to warm it up first, though. Put the syringe in a plastic bag then put it in some warm/hot water for awhile. It will get nice and runny, MUCH easier to get out – almost too easy. Some carts will flood if you fill them with hot liquid that’s too runny, others can handle it.
