Rules to Participate at Nigerian Idol Event

1. You must be citizen of Nigeria.

2. You must reside/live in Nigeria in order to participate in the Nigerian Idol event.

3. The age for the been eligible for participating in the event is 16 to 28 years of age

4. If you had registered and progressed in any of the previous seasons of West African Idol, you are not eligible to take part.

5. You should have no agreement with any of the producers for any talent competition, any music recording contract, and any exclusive acting contract.

To Apply For Nigerian Idol 2016 Registration:
  • Go to Nigerian Idol 2016 registration official portal/website at www.nigerianidol.com
  • Complete the online application form
  • Then forward your name with the preferred audition location to 5599 from an Etisalat Nigeria line only. (N100 per SMS)
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS in your inbox which you will have to present at the audition venue

Note that there are no permanent location for the registration and audition. The general locations for the registration are Lagos, Calabar, Enugu, Abuja and Kaduna. Requirements for Registration to Participate at Nigerian Idol Event

1. Bring along with you two ID forms on the registration day that proves evidence of age showing your photograph. Birth certificate or driver’s license are allowed.

2. You can only bring one person along with you to the audition.  The person would be expected to be at the registration venue alongside you so that he/she could be offered seat ticket.

3. Do not bring to the venue a child younger than 5 years.

3. You must bring the wristband given to you on the registration day to the location of the audition.

5. Dresses that have designer names is prohibited at the venue of the audition.
