What ingredient makes a cake light and fluffy?
Most cakes begin with creaming butter and sugar together. Butter is capable of holding air and the creaming process is when butter traps that air. While baking, that trapped air expands and produces a fluffy cake.
Why is it called 7-Up cake?
Many people continue to praise 7–Up as an effective remedy to sooth an upset stomach or relieve nausea, giving credence to the idea 7–Up’s name comes from the drink’s formula having a pH level “higher than 7,” despite that its pH level is really closer to 4.
How do you make 7-up?
What can I use instead of 7 Up?
Do I have to use 7–Up? You can substitute any kind of lemon-lime soda in place of the 7–Up like Sprite, but I’ve also seen recipes that use Squirt, which is a carbonated grapefruit soda! I’ve actually used ginger ale to make these biscuits, too, and they turned out great.
Can you use 7UP instead of club soda?
It’s like mixing whatever drink you were going to mix, then adding 6-8 teaspoons of sugar to it. So if it’s an option, you could try adding as much sour flavor (any limes you might have) as you can to rebalance it.
