Charles Matthew Hunnam is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Jax Teller in the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014). Hunnam was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, to Jane Bell, a ballet dancer and business owner, and William Hunnam.
Hunnam began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in television shows such as Byker Grove and Queer as Folk. He made his film debut in 2002 with Nicholas Nickleby.
