TikTok trends have proved to be beneficial for many people to earn easy fame money. Although some of the trends are really weird, hopping into the popular trends is what gives you recognition on the for you page (FYP).
The algorithm on TikTok is designed in such a way that each time you scroll down on FYP, there should be new videos awaiting you.
But many people have been encountering some problems with this algorithm. It is quite annoying to see the same videos again and again when you are seeking unique content.
If you are also hooked on TikTok and it keeps showing you the same content on the FYP, this article is just for you.
Why Is Tiktok Showing Me The Same Videos?
TikTok is showing you the same videos because there might be limited content from the category you usually enjoy.
The app algorithm works based on the kind of content you view. If you watch a certain type of video, it will automatically keep showing you different videos from the same category.
TikTok takes your user data and based on that, it filters out what videos you dislike. If you watch a video till the end, the app perceives that you love the content.
It personalizes the content and picks up different videos each time from your daily content sources. But sometimes the same videos might appear if there isn’t more similar kind of content to show.
It is also possible that the videos are really popular and TikTok wants to show that again hoping you like them.
TikTok Showing The Videos With No Likes
TikTok is supposed to show you unique and entertaining content not the ones with no likes.
Many users are irritated when TikTok shows videos with hardly any likes. When there are no likes on the video, it is thought to be of low quality and infamous.
There might be some problem with the algorithm for showing the content with no likes.
How To Fix Tiktok Repeating Video?
You can fix TikTok repeating and old videos in order to get unique and fresh content on FYP.
You can let TikTok know that you are no longer interested seeing in those old videos. You can click the “Not Interested” option from the dots on the right and it will stop showing the video.
The more easy solution is to scroll past the video quickly which will make the app algorithm believe that you don’t like the content. Refreshing the FYP page can also help you get fresh content.
If the problem still persists, there is an option to report the problem to TikTok.
