Is the gel bottle 10 free?
The good news doesn’t end there though because they are also VEGAN, CRUELTY FREE and 10–FREE (their products don’t contain formaldehyde, Dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin or camphor). This is something that is an absolute must for us.
Can you use the gel bottle with any lamp?

Can you mix gel polish brands?

For instance, I use Gelish foundation (base coat) with IBD color with Gelish Top it Off (top coat) and it works great! Just make sure the gel polish will cure in your lamp. Some brands have older colors that are only UV curable.

If you are applying builder gel to the natural nail only, it can be applied and built up to the desired thickness and shape in a number of coats, curing between each layer. If you are extending the nail, simply apply your nail tip or form before applying the gel and creating the length.

Can builder gel be used as nail glue?
But even if you want to use it as glue, for the gel to actually stick to your natural nail you would still need to prepare your nail as if you would for proper gel build — file it to take the shine off, use a primer/bonder, is still a lot of work and it would most likely be easier if you just used tips glue.

When gel-polish is applied too heavy, the UV light cannot penetrate through the entire layer to cure it properly. Uncured gel-polish can cause the top coat to dull and also get wiped away with cleanser. If the bulbs are past this point, the gel polish will either take a long to cure or it won’t cure at all.
How do I know if my gel polish is cured?
Other signs of under curing may be: loss of clarity; cloudy finish; thicker than normal sticky dispersion layer; dulling, soft surfaces; areas where the colour was too easily wiped or filed away. If a client’s skin itches whilst soaking off the product, this can be a sign that the nail coating was not properly cured.
