Jean Muggli may not have become famous at all if it wasn’t for her marriage to and divorce from the popular American Football star, Michael Strahan. Their divorce wasn’t amicable, and made the headlines, becoming the most expensive in the US, at least at that time. Jean has always tried to keep her private life out of the limelight and details about her and her past are difficult to find. Let’s take a look at what we do know about the millionaire ex-wife of Michael Strahan.

Jean Muggli was born on 30 November 1964, in New York City.
Her parents were American, and although we don’t know their names, we know that Jean had a good childhood. Her sister, Denise spent many memorable days with her at their home.
Educational background
Unfortunately, information about Jean’s education is being held secret, none of it is available to the general public.
Career
Not much is known about Jean’s career, but she was a cosmetic store manager before becoming famous for marrying Michael. With that said, she is assumed to have knowledge about cosmetics and management.
Hobbies, favourite things and interesting facts
Again, not much is known about Jean’s private life, and this includes her hobbies and general facts about her likes and dislikes.
Relationship with Michael
Jean and Michael met for the first time at a spa in Manhattan in 1994. They became friends and soon started dating – on 18 July 1999, the two lovebirds got married. The wedding was a very private affair with only their close friends and family attending and spending the special day with them. They initially had a good marriage, and in 2004 Jean gave birth to twin daughters, Sophia and Isabella.
The Divorce
However, things then went downhill, and on 20 July 2006 the pair divorced. This divorce went on to make history as one of the most expensive of its kind in America at that time. Jean and Michael’s divorce was messy – she accused the footballer of being physically abusive, saying that he had beaten her so badly that she urinated blood for days. Jean added that her kidney was seriously damaged because of the abuse she suffered.
In addition, Jean accused Michael of cheating on her many times, and even made a video of her sister undressing.
Michael denied all the accusations made against him, and had claims of his own to make, saying that Jean withdrew over $3 million from their bank account. It’s not clear what this amount was allegedly spent on. In the end, the court was in favour of Jean, and she was given full custody of the children, and a settlement of $15 million as well as an additional $18,000 for child support every month. It was also reported at the time that Jean spent thousands on her children, with photoshoots of more than $22,000 and sign language classes of about $1,700 as well as $27,000 spent on clothes.
Michael had to sell his New Jersey mansion valued at $3.6 million to pay off the millions awarded to his ex. After the divorce, Jean is reported to have remained a single woman, but Michael dated various ladies, currently a 33-year-old German social media personality, Marianna Hewitt.
Who is Michael Strahan?
Michael Strahan was born on 21 November 1971, in Houston, Texas, the youngest of six children to Gene Willie Strahan, a former US Army Major, and his wife Louise, a basketball coach.
Michael is the nephew of ex-American Footballer, Art Strahan, who played in a defensive position for the National Football League’s (NFL) Edmonton Oilers and the Atlanta Falcons. It is likely that Art inspired Michael to pursue a career in the game.
Michael spent many years in Germany because of his father’s military service, where he attended Mannheim American High , and kicked off his career in American football. In 1985 he was a linebacker for then Mannheim Redskins. He enrolled at the Westbury High School when he returned to the US, then after graduating from Texas Southern University, in 1993, he was drafted into the NFL by the New York Giants.
He spent 15 seasons with the team, was chosen for the Pro Bowl seven times, and helped the Giants win Super Bowl XLII in the 2006-07 season.
Abuse Claims Against Jean
Recently, Michael said he has evidence that Jean has been abusing his twins for many years. He claims that Jean hasn’t been taking his daughters to their legally required therapy sessions or extracurricular activities. He plans to reveal more details about the alleged abused in documents that will be sealed. If his claims turn out to be true, Michael, who only has visitation rights, could get full custody of Sophia and Isabella.
