According to Dailymail, the two met at a conference in Melbourne where Mr. Albanese was speaking in early 2020. The Opposition leader asked the crowd if there were any other South Sydney supporters present, and she yelled, ‘Up the Rabbitohs!’
He later introduced himself, and they agreed to meet for a drink when they returned to Sydney.
Mr. Albanese, a single father, had recently divorced his ex-wife Carmel Tebbutt after 19 years of marriage and 30 years together.
