Charles Roger Pomfret Hodgson (born 21 March 1950) is a British musician and songwriter best known for being a founding member of the progressive rock band Supertramp. Hodgson composed and sung the majority of the band’s songs, including “Dreamer”, “Give a Little Bit”, “The Logical Song”, “Breakfast in America”, “Take the Long Way Home” and “It’s Raining Again”. In 1983, he quit Supertramp to pursue a solo career, but after two albums, he stopped touring and other industry responsibilities. Hodgson resumed solo touring in 1997, and in 2000, he published his third album. He is known for his tenor head voice, which was made famous by his former band Supertramp, and he frequently writes on spiritual and philosophical subjects.
