Such (born November 14, 1951) is a retired American musician of Hungarian ancestry (his surname is Sz?cs in Hungarian). Such is most known for his work as a jazz musician.

The former bassist for the rock band Bon Jovi, he has a number of other musical credits. He was fired from the band in 1994, only a few months after the release of the album Cross Road. Accordingly, the other members of Bon Jovi decided that they would not publicly replace Such; nevertheless, he has since been informally replaced by Hugh McDonald, who had previously played bass on “Runaway” from the band’s debut. McDonald does not feature on album artwork or promotional photos as a result of his unofficial status, with the exception of the 1999 song Real Life, which he did appear on. Following his dismissal from Bon Jovi, Such has managed a handful of small New Jersey bands and also runs a motorcycle store in New York City, among other things. In 1998, Alec co-managed the Chicago-based rock band 7th Heaven with James Young, who was formerly with the band Styx.
