Where Is Casey Anthony In 2022?
Casey Anthony performs accounting duties in addition to being a legal assistant. Anthony has a “limited existence,” according to Where the Truth Lies showrunner Alexandra Dean, with a close friend and a select group of loved ones she can trust, including her former defense team.
Dean added that Casey continues to communicate with her mother and brother. Although Casey Anthony was declared innocent in July 2011, she was found guilty on four counts of furnishing false information.
According to CNN, she received a four-year sentence with a credit of one year for each offense. She had already spent three years when, in part for good behavior, she was let out of jail on July 17, 2011.
She temporarily started a photography business in 2015, but she later closed it down. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Anthony submitted an application to establish Case Research & Consulting Services, LLC in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2020 so she could start her own private research company. According to The Sentinel, Anthony did not have a Florida private investigator license at the time.
Why Was Casey Anthony Convicted?
Caylee Anthony was last seen on June 16, 2008, but her disappearance was not reported until George and Cindy Anthony, Casey’s parents, found out that her car had been seized and smelled something terrible emanating from it on July 15, 2008.
Cindy dialed 911, and after lying to the police about Cindy’s daughter’s location, Anthony was “arrested” the next day for child negligence, making false statements, and impeding an investigation. Law authorities searched for the missing youngster for five months before discovering Caylee’s remains on December 11, 2008, close to the Anthonys’ Orlando home.
After human remains were discovered in her car’s trunk two months earlier, in October 2008, a grand jury indicted Anthony for capital “murder”, according to CNN. Tony entered a “not guilty” plea.
The case started in May 2011. The prosecution said that Anthony put her daughter’s body in the trunk of her car before disposing of it after using duct tape and chloroform to choke and knock her out. The defense claimed that George (Casey’s father), in a panic, informed Casey that they needed to hide Caylee’s “death” when she drowned in Anthony’s pool.
