Regnier will be replacing Nathan Bostock after seven-month of searching for their new CEO.
Bostock will now take command of his new role as head of investment platforms at Banco Santander.
Mike previously worked at Yorkshire Building Society, where he was CEO since 2017.
He joined Yorkshire Building Society in 2014 as a Chief Commercial Officer before becoming Chief Executive Officer.
The Englishman has over twenty-five years of experience in finance and retail, having worked in Lloyds Banking Group, TSB, Halifax, and Asda.
However, he has joined Santander Bank at eh time of crisis which recorded a first-ever quarterly loss last year.

However, Regnier is the Chief Executive Officer of the UK’s fourth-largest bank, so sure he will be making a lot.
In 2018, Santander paid the former CEO Nathan Bostock over $2.2 million annually, as per Sky News.
In addition, he bagged in an additional bonus of over $3 million and $844,000 in pension and benefits.
As per Yahoo news, Mike received $300,000 remuneration from Yorkshire Building Society.
