Does TriMet take cash 2021?
Yes. If you’re using a Hop card, you can reload using cash at hundreds of stores including Fred Meyer, Safeway and New Seasons stores, and at the Customer Support Center at Pioneer Courthouse Square. We also accept cash on buses.
Is TriMet taking cash?
Yes, cash will be accepted on buses starting October 1, 2020. When you board, place your exact cash fare in the farebox. Fareboxes accept any combination of bills and coins (including $1 coins). The operator will give you a ticket/receipt.
Can students ride TriMet for free?
All enrolled high school students in a participating school district can ride TriMet for free during the school year. Students ride transit at no cost by tapping their student ID Hop card issued by the school.
