Shirley Ballas, a Wallasey native, has been dancing since she was 7 years old.
Shirley had triumphed in almost all of the major competitions she entered by the age of 21.
With two different partners, she is the only person to have ever won the British Open to the World Latin American Championships in Blackpool and had an astounding 17 final appearances.
Shirley is still the smallest girl to have ever advanced to the finals of the “British Open to the World” Dance Championship.
Shirley is proud and honored to serve as head judge on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
She is currently one of the best ballroom and Latin instructors and judges in the world.
