Olivia Longott Net Worth: Olivia Longott is an American R&B singer who has a net worth of $4 million. Having been the first female artist to sign with the hip-hop group G-Unit, Longott is known as “The First Lady of G-Unit.” Olivia rose to fame after recording vocals for 50 Cent’s breakthrough single, “Candy Shop.” Although her musical career has gone through several ups and downs over the years, she remains a widely-known figure due to her appearances on the reality show “Love & Hip Hop.”Early Life: Olivia Theresa Longott was born on February 15th of 1980 in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in a family of Cuban, Indian, and Jamaican descent, Olivia became interested in music from a young age. After studying music diligently during her high school years, Longott attended Five Towns College in New York and continued her post-secondary education. By the time she was a teen, Olivia was already performing musically.Career: Despite her potential, Olivia’s career began rather slowly. In 2000, she became the first artist who signed to Clive Davis’ new record label, J Records. In 2001, she released her self-titled debut album. The album contained the single “Bizounce,” which charted quite well. However, there weren’t many other successful singles from that album to speak of.A period of relative obscurity followed. In 2004, she signed with G-Unit, becoming the first female artist to do so. This earned her the moniker “The First Lady of G-Unit.” Throughout the next few years, Olivia contributed vocals to many songs by G-Unit, including “Candy Shop” alongside 50 Cent. This would prove to be one of her best-known singles, and it peaked at number one on the charts. Although critics accused 50 Cent of retreading old ground, the song was nonetheless nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Rap Song” category. The accompanying music video was also nominated for a Grammy. While working with G-Unit, Olivia also recorded songs like “So Sexy” and “Twist It.” By 2007, Longott had decided to split with G-Unit. Her second album was subsequently shelved, but it was leaked on mixtape websites not long afterward. The album is (somewhat ironically) entitled “Behind Closed Doors,” and it was never actually released.Throughout the next few years, Olivia worked with artists such as Fally Ipupa and released a music video for a new single entitled “December.” This track was supposed to be part of another upcoming album that was never actually released to the world. The album was (ironically, once again) entitled “Show The World.” That being said, “December” charted higher than many of her highest-achieving songs from her G-Unit days.In 2011, she returned to the music world once again with another single entitled “Walk Away.” By this point, Longott had ventured into the world of reality television. She became a regular cast member of “Love & Hip Hop,” a popular show that debuted on VH1. Among many other things, the show highlighted Longott’s struggle to become successful as an independent music artist. In 2012, Olivia decided against signing a deal with EMI, instead choosing the lesser-known label Wonda Music (run by Jerry Wonda). This new partnership saw the creation of two new songs, “Soldier Girl” and “Sun Don’t Shine.” During this period, she collaborated with artists such as Sean Kingston and Mavado. “Where Do I Go From Here” was one of the best-charting songs of her later career, and it was released in 2013.Although Longott left “Love & Hip Hop,” she returned after seven years to play a role in the tenth season of “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”Love & Hip Hop stars net worths: Yandy Smith Net Worth Kimbella Vanderhee Net Worth Emily Bustamante Net Worth Chrissy Lampkin Net Worth Somaya Reece Net Worth
