Patrick Frank Surtain II is an American football cornerback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He played college football at Alabama and was drafted ninth overall by the Broncos in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is the son of former NFL player Patrick Surtain.
How good is Patrick Surtain II?
Ranking as the 24th-best overall cornerback via PFF’s defensive grade with at least 750 snaps at 66.1 and 24th with a coverage grade of 66.3, it does seem somewhat questionable how PFF graded Surtain in juxtaposition to how highly it’s praising him as one of the best young players in football.
Just one year removed from hearing his name called to be the newest Denver Bronco with the 9th overall pick, Pat Surtain II has become the team’s top cornerback in Madden 23 ratings.
Surtain comes in with an 83 overall, five more than the next closest Bronco’s cornerback Ronald Darby. Surtain’s highest attributes, outside of his 94 stamina, are the 93 speed with a 92 acceleration.
