How do you rp for beginners

In text-based roleplaying, everyone writes out what their character says, thinks, and does, and posts it, usually in a forum. If you are doing a one-on-one roleplay, this may be in an instant messenger or even email. When your turn comes, post your character’s part of the story. Post as soon as you can.

To be a good roleplayer, one must first be a good person. The qualities of character that open doors of friendship and cooperation in real life are the same qualities that will help make roleplaying a positive and rewarding experience for you in WoW.

It seems to the novice roleplayer that a good part of RP is done solo, in general at least. Maybe I’m wrong but it seems logical that you would devise your character and your back-story by yourself. Perhaps your character’s story is shaped by others, but the seed, the core of the story is created by the player alone.

Yes, it could be considered illegal depending on the nature of the texts. It could be contributing to the delinquency of a minor, or the texts could be pornographic even without pictures, or many other illegal acts.

Do not roleplay things contradictory to what a character wants or suggested in roleplay simply to fill your own headcanon slots. Do not enforce your headcanons on others through roleplay, by saying things like they were being “obviously upset” when a character has stated they were “cool as a cucumber.”
