Stella Maynes and Maurice Maxwell, her Northern Irish parents, gave birth to her in Belgium, but when she was 13 she traveled south to Canberra, the capital of Australia. Her family quickly moved permanently to Wellington, New Zealand.
The 5ft 10in beauty started out as a model in 2008, appearing in an Alexander McQueen ad and doing photo shoots for British Vogue and ELLE.
She won the title of World’s Hottest Woman this year in Maxim magazine, defeating the winner from 2015, Taylor Swift, and the winner from 2013, Miley Cyrus, who is also her ex.
Stella walked in several designer shows during the SS’17 season, including those for Moschino, Versace, and Fendi, with Gigi, Bella, and Kendall Hadid.
How did Stella Maxwell become a model?
Ali McD, a modeling agency, saw Stella while she was out shopping one day. Stella attended the University of Otago in Dunedin. She started modeling as soon as she received her degree.
