How Did Cliff Devries Get Paralyzed? Wikipedia Bio

Cliff Devries became paralyzed as a result of complications during his 6-inch tumor removal surgery.

During Cliff’s MRI, the doctor informed Cliff of a large tumor growing just below his brain stem and around his spine. Devries developed a stiff shoulder while diving and was diagnosed with a brain tumor after undergoing tests.

Cliff reported that the machines unexpectedly went off during his surgery, resulting in a considerable complication. The surgeons were unable to complete the task correctly, and the surgery was a failure.

When the procedure was finally completed after 13 hours, he claims that the doctor predicted that he would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. As a result, he was paralyzed on the right side of his body, but that didn’t stop him from being associated with his favorite sport.

When Cliff went to witness the diving practice at RIT, his institution, the higher-ups offered him the post of diving coach, which was vacant at the moment. Cliff Devries has worked as the diving coach for RIT since then and is a well-known figure.

Cliff describes himself as a dedicated coach who enjoys challenging children to their full potential. Interestingly, Cliff is also a Human Resources instructor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
