What is the minimum size for a detectable tumor?
The limits of detectability of tumors under clinical conditions may depend on many parameters, e.g., location of the tumor and imaging isotope. Clinical investigations in nuclear medicine demonstrates that minimum lesion detectability is about 1.5 cm in diameter (12,18,19,20).
