Hockey Legend Steve Duchesne And Wife Tracee Duchesne Share Two Children

Hockey player Steve Duchesne is married to wife Tracee Duchesne. Steve and Tracee raised two children in Westlake.

Steve formerly played professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League. He was a defenceman for several teams from 1986 to 2002, including Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, and Detroit Red Wings.

Duchesne got the fairy tale ending to his career by winning the Stanley Cup in 2002 in his final season. He has won several prestigious awards such as Barry Ashbee Trophy and was included in NHL All-Star three times.

The hockey star is retired, but his passion for hockey never waned. After hanging his boots, he began coaching in Dallas and invested in the Central Hockey League’s Allen Americans. Duchesne is also associated with Social Rain, a social media management and analytics organization.

Steve Duchesne Wife Tracee Duchesne

Steve Duchesne is married to his dear wife, Tracee Duchesne.

The lovely pair have welcomed two children, a son, and a daughter, in their three-decade-long relationship.

Steve resides in Westlake with Tracee. Previously, they lived with their kids, but they have moved out. The Duchesne love pets and have a cute dog in their house.

Due to his busy career, Steve could not spend much time with Tracee, who raised both of their children. After he hung his boots, he realized how important family was.

He said to NHL,” As a player, I was very selfish as far as being a husband and a father; It was all about me. After retiring, I realized there is much more than that. I live to the fullest, especially with my family. I am blessed.”

In 2002, he moved to Texas so his kids could be closer to grandma and grandpa.

Steve Duchesne Has Two Children

Steve and Tracee have welcomed two children into their family since they began dating in the 1990s. The couple has a 28-year-old daughter and a 26-year-old son.

They raised their kids in Westlake in the community of Vaquero, one of the most exclusive developments in the country. The family of four stayed in that house for nine years.

“It was a great place to raise our children,” Tracee said to Forbes.

Steve Duchesne Daughter Is A Model

Steve’s first child, his daughter, is a model and works in the fashion industry.

While she was 17, Steve hoped she did not date a hockey player, per NHL.com. The former athlete does not mean hockey players are bad guys; he has experience being one.

Duchesne feels hockey athletes demand so much on a physical and mental scale. They move out frequently and can’t spend much time with their families.

Steve And Tracee Listed Their House In Cedar Elm

Steve and Tracee have decided to sell Cedar Elm Terrace, the house their children grew up in. They moved to Texas in the 2000s and were the first owners of that Westlake-based property.

Tracee herself designed the house with extra-wide hallways, large spaces, high ceilings, French doors galore, and a swimming pool. The same Forbes article revealed the house has an asking price of $3.45 million.

Since their home was in Vaquero, the pair and their kids did not have to deal with the paparazzi. Their children also had access to Westlake Academy, a free charter school.

Steve and Tracee have kept their personal lives away from the media spotlight. They are not active on any forms of social media like Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Steve did an AMA on Reddit eleven years ago with his son.
