People on the internet want to know what happened to Itumeleng Khune and was he shot dead. The official information regarding this incident has not been revealed yet officially.
On the other hand, his sister Mapula “Meiki” Khune was murdered. A 17-year-old defendant was charged with murdering Mapula Khune. The teen was arrested and was due to appear in the Ventersdorp Children’s Court, according to police spokeswoman Colonel Adéle Myburgh.
The passing of Khune shook the Tshing neighborhood. Mapula was sleeping off in a back room next to her grandmother’s main house when the incident took place.
Meiki, sometimes known as Mapula, produced content focused on fashion. According to her Instagram page, she worked as a marketer and has a degree in business management. She also held the CEO position for her brother’s nonprofit, The Khune Foundation.
Who Are Itumeleng Khune Parents?
Elias and Flora Khune are the parents of Itumeleng Khune. He was one of six children.
His father, Elias, worked as a driver in a mine in Carletonville and as a striker in amateur football. His younger brother Lucky Khune was a striker with Chiefs before joining Chippa United in the PSL.
Khune fell in love with cricket and looked up to Nicky Boje, in contrast to many South African athletes who assert that their first experience was playing football in the arid streets of their own country.
He ultimately decided to pursue a football career to support himself and his family. He attended RW Fick, New Nation, Westridge, and St. Barnabas high schools.

Itumeleng Khune Wife Sphelele Makhunga
Itumeleng Khune and Sphelele Makhunga have been married. Makhunga is 10 years older than Itumeleng.
Itumeleng and Sphelele exchanged vows in a traditional wedding ceremony on November 16, 2019. Sphelele said in an earlier interview with TshisaLIVE that she wants more children, in contrast to Itu’s belief in “balancing the equation.”
Itumeleng and Sphelele currently have two children. Itumeleng posted a photo on Instagram announcing the arrival of their second child.
