Jorge Cejudo and Nelly Rico are the parents of Henry. The second youngest of the family’s seven children is Henry Cejudo. Cejudo’s family had to relocate frequently because of his aggressive father’s drug and alcohol problems.
Nelly left for New Mexico before Jorge, who had been imprisoned after threatening to kill his entire family and engaging in a street fight, was let go, taking 4-year-old Henry and the other kids with her.
When Cejudo was six years old, Jorge was deported, and he passed away when Cejudo was about 20. The family left New Mexico after a few years and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Despite their mother working many jobs to support the family, they were living in poverty in Maryvale, Phoenix.
Jorge Cejudo and Nelly Rico’s son, Henry Cejudo is a retired mixed martial artist and former Olympic wrestler from the United States. Cejudo’s notable achievements in MMA include winning the UFC flyweight championship and the UFC bantamweight championship.
He is one of the few fighters in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously, and he is also known for his rivalry with other top fighters in his divisions, such as Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, and Dominick Cruz.
In May 2020, Cejudo announced his retirement from MMA after successfully defending his bantamweight title. However, he has since made hints about a potential comeback, leaving fans and fellow fighters speculating about his future in the sport.
