Harshad Mehta was an Indian stockbroker. He has been given the title of “The Big Bull” because of his infamous way of manipulating the market. In 1992, Harshad committed the biggest fraud. He over 500 crores ($1.4 billion) from the banking system to buy stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE).

Harshad Mehta was born on 29th July, 1954 in Gujarat, India. His father was a small textile businessman. Mehta did his B.com from Lala Lajpatrai College, Bombay. He worked in numerous odd jobs. Due to his action, he was sent to prison for 5 rigorious years by the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court of India.
Mehta started his career as a sales person in Mumbai. He died in 31st December, 2001 on the New Year’s eve due to heart failure. Harshad was 47 years old when he had died.
