Following a social media post about Clara Chia Mart, the new girlfriend of Shakira’s ex-boyfriend Gerard Piqué, Shakira subtly criticized her.
After her recent breakup with Piqué, Shakira stated in an interview with the Mexican network Canal Estrellas that “there is a place in hell designated for women who don’t support other women.”
After 11 years of marriage, the couple—who have two sons—divorced in June 2022. In January of 2023, Piqué made his new relationship with Mart, a 23-year-old college student, Instagram official.
Prior to their breakup, Shakira may have had suspicions about Piqué’s adultery, and their breakup was reportedly acrimonious.
Shakira now claims that since the separation, she has grown more independent and has discovered strength in enduring grief. She acknowledged that her kids had inspired her to advance and set a good example for them.
Shakira claimed that even though her ideal of a typical nuclear family may not have materialized, her children’s unending love is sufficient. She also displayed self-assurance and her belief in her capacity to persevere under pressure.
