Talk Show host, Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with Covid-19. And because of that, Season 13 of The Wendy Williams Show has been delayed. The talk show was scheduled to premiere next week, but due to her diagnosis, the show has been pushed to be aired on the first week of October. This was announced by the Show’s verified Instagram account.
The message goes like this: ” To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production fully abides by SAG/AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, October 4th. In the meantime, repeats will be scheduled.”
Apparently, Wendy Williams is vaccinated. According to The Centre For Disease Control, no vaccine is completely effective, and that is why the breakthrough cases happen. But the Centre states that risks of infection, hospitalization and death are lower in vaccinated people than the unvaccinated ones.
Last year, Wendy Williams took a break because she was dealing with Graves disease, an immune system disorder. The T.V show hostess in March 2020, disclosed that she would not get vaccinated.
