She was the host of Tomi on TheBlaze, where she rose to prominence for her brief video segments called “last thoughts,” in which she frequently criticized liberal politics. She was dubbed a “rising media celebrity” by The New York Times after many of her videos went viral.
After asserting during an interview on The View that she thought women should have access to abortions on a legal basis, Lahren was fired from TheBlaze in March 2017.
