Has Andy Reid’s son been sentenced? What is the status of Andy Reid’s son?

Andy Reid’s son Britt Reid was given a three-year prison term for DWI.
In a car accident in February 2021, Reid gravely hurt five-year-old Ariel Young.

According to a report from ProFootballTalk, Britt Reid, a former Kansas City Chiefs assistant and the son of head coach Andy Reid, was given a three-year jail term after pleading guilty to a felony DWI offense.

After striking two vehicles stopped on the side of an I-435 entry ramp in Kansas City on February 4, 2021, Reid was put on trial for felony DWI. Ariel Young, age 5, suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident. She experienced a serious brain injury and spent 11 days in a coma.

Reid acknowledged drinking when police officers arrived at the site, but he insisted he missed the cars because their lights were off.

According to the authorities, Reid was driving 18 mph over the 65 mph posted speed limit, and his blood alcohol level was.113, which is five points higher than the legal limit.

Reid reached a plea agreement with the prosecution in the hopes of serving a maximum of four years in jail. He admitted feeling bad about hurting Young.

According to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, Reid said, “Every time I see my daughter, I think about Ariel and how my decision affected her so deeply and her family,”

Young’s family was “outraged” that Reid was permitted to accept a plea agreement that capped his penalty, according to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports, despite the fact that Reid received a prison sentence.
