Requirements

  • Kenyans who have the intention of visiting Guyana for leisure and tourism are eligible for this visa.
  • Foreigners who have been invited to the country by their friends or relatives who have taken up permanent residence in the country are also eligible for this visa.
  • Applicants of this visa who are traveling to Guyana based on the invitation from their friend or relative are required to present a letter of invitation from their host. The letter should state the relationship between the host and the applicant of this visa. Also, the letter should contain the valid contact details of the host.
  • Kenyans who have picked up interest in attending festivals and events during their time in the country can do so without restrictions.
  • A letter from your employer in Kenya written on the company’s letterhead, with the contact details of the company is required. Your employer should state in the letter that your leave has been approved. The purpose and the duration of the trip to Guyana should be stated in the letter.
  • A copy of the applicant’s residence permit in Kenya should be provided.
  • Minors should ensure they present the original copy of their birth certificate. Also, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be made available.
  • Foreigners traveling to Guyana are expected to provide a document which shows that they have the incentive of returning to Kenya.
  • Proof of payment of visa application is required.
  • Kenyans are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in the country.

Requirements

  • The Business Visa is issued to foreigners who aim to visit their partner companies in Guyana to foster and improve business relationships.
  • During business meetings between Kenyans and their partners in Guyana, negotiations, and signing of business contracts can be done.
  • Foreigners who are in Guyana for business can attend business summits, conferences, and trade fairs.
  • If you will be attending a conference in Guyana, you are advised to register before leaving Kenya. Proof of registration should be presented during the visa application process.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer is required. The letter should state confirmation of business leave. The duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be clearly stated in the letter.
  • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company in Guyana should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant, state the nature of the business to be conducted, and the duration of the applicant’s visit. The letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Guyana.

Requirements

  • This visa is for foreigners who are making short stops in Guyana.
  • Applicant’s of this visa have the intention of transiting through Guyana to their destination country.
  • Traveling from Kenya to Guyana and from Guyana back to Kenya cannot be regarded as transit.
  • The visa and other entry permits of the destination country should be provided.
  • Flight ticket of the destination country is also required.
  • Applicants of this visa who are under the age of 18 years should ensure they submit the original copy of their birth certificate.
  • Receipt of paid visa application form should be provided.
  • An extension to this visa cannot be granted.
