A popular food delivery service named Grubhub that offered free lunch to New Yorkers is not working due to app crashes and multiple issues.
Grubhub launched a campaign providing New Yorkers with a free lunch, but the rollout went wrong due to the excessive demand and poor communications.
Hundreds of angry New Yorkers posted a Tweet on Tuesday demanding a statement from the delivery services, stating that receiving their promised free lunch was impossible.
The campaign was a push to persuade more people to eat lunch after a survey indicated that many New Yorkers skip lunch due to their hectic lifestyles.
Grubhub Free Lunch Not Working After App Crash
Grubhub offered a free lunch to New Yorkers, which didn’t work as the app crashed after getting 3000 orders per minute.
Thousands of hungry office workers were left arguing with customer care about orders that never arrived in their quick breaks.
Restaurants also had thousands of orders that looked terrible on their counters due to poor management and a lack of delivery workers.
Several outraged New Yorkers demanded a response from the delivery service on Tuesday, stating that receiving their promised lunch was difficult.
Other restaurant staff in the city agree, blaming GrubHub for blindsiding businesses that could suffer from the delivery mess by receiving bad ratings and losing consumers.
Reddit: How To Get The Coupon of Grubhub?
Earlier this month, GrubHub announced they would be offering coupons if they order the food using the Coupon code ‘FREE LUNCH.’
The food ordering service was overloaded by the rise in demand, with the app allegedly receiving six thousand orders every minute.
With so many orders to complete, Grubhub restaurant employees were unable to execute the order and canceled some or quit taking the further orders.

After the offer got public, Grubhub received more than six thousand orders per minute, making it difficult for restaurant employees to complete the food order.
